How do you set margins in Word? How do you change the alignment of your bullets and text? We will find out in class today with both a demonstration and hand out.

2) Headers and Footers

We will not take a look at headers and footers in Word. Read the instruction sheet on headers and footers and try out some of the functions for yourself.

3) Bullets and Numbering Activity

Bulleted and numbered lists can be used to make your documents more organized, readable and visually appealing. Read the information sheet on bulleted and numbered lists and complete the activity.

1) First Letter Activity

We then looked at how to type a letter using proper business format. The handout for this activity can be found in the class folder. Please show Mr. Maharaj your completed letter when done.

2) Business Letter Assignment

When you are done your business letter activity you will receive the business letter assignment. In this assignment you will be typing a letter to Mr. Richard Bilkszto, our principal, about how to improve the school. You will be required to use proper business format.

Now that we have learned about the different parts of a computer you will now construct a cyborg - a human being made out of computer parts.

This assignment is due on Monday, September 13th.

Day 2 - Wednesday, September 8th

1) Parts of A Computer

Today we learned about the four different components of a computer as well as its many parts. Students copied down a note that was given through the use of a PowerPoint presentation.

2) Autobiography Assignment

Students then completed a one to two page autobiography of themselves. This was to be done on Microsoft Word.
